Our Facilities

Dedicated rooms, gardens and regular outings keep your children safe, active and continually developing.

The Baby Room

Our baby rooms cater for our very youngest children who can join us from 3 months old. The unit comprises of two warm and cosy rooms for our pre-walkers and a vibrant action filled room for our more mobile babies.

These rooms are bright and happy places to spend your day with endless time for play and cuddles. We organise our day around the routines of your baby`s needs. Whilst awake the babies are stimulated with an array of activities both indoors and out. The baby staff love to get the babies out in the fresh air so will be regularly seen out and about in the local community

The Toddler Room

Here children have a more spacious environment designed to enable the children to explore and engage with different stimulus inside and out in our extensive garden. Essentially enjoyment is provided through free play, structure is added to your child's day with circle time, adult led activities and meal times.

Children will always be experiencing something new whether this is accessing sand and water areas or the role play all enhanced to extend your child's learning. The practitioners in this well-established room will have available for you a two year developmental report, that you will take to your child's two year check with your local health visitor.

The Pre-School Room

This area of the nursery is an active place to be with lots going on, across two rooms one for our messy play and budding artists, creating masterpieces for you to cherish and hang on the fridge! The second room is where more structured learning happens along with free play and access to the garden area. At this stage of their development practitioners are enhancing the children's play environments to extend children's knowledge on shape colours numbers and basic phonics, using exciting resources that the children have a clear understanding of and enjoy. The practitioners caring for your child in the unit continually observe the children and plan activities to suit your child's needs and developmental stage.

Children often transfer to the school site only a short distance from the Nursery to join either our more formal school based provision or to join our Reception class. Weekly routine at school includes Language, ICT, Drama, Sports, Music and Swimming lessons as part of the educational timetable from the age of three.

Extra Activities

Each week we are visited by outside professionals who come into our setting to enhance learning opportunities for the children. We have several visiting teachers who lead sessions for us at our Nursery. Warwickshire Dance Academy supply teachers of dance, singing and baby ballet throughout the week and we source exciting opportunities for our children to benefit from.

We also welcome Rugby Tots who hold a weekly rugby session for our children in the Pre School age group developing hand eye coordination and movement skills through age appropriate rugby activities.

Our Nursery Garden

All Weather Garden

Our lovely big “all weather garden” is one of the most popular areas with both children and staff. The sheltered outside area also allows for children to ‘get outside’ in wet weather under the canopied area.

Gardening

The children have access to water and sand trays throughout the day and enjoy planting and growing in the garden. We also encourage our keen gardeners to learn about growing their own vegetables and flowers.

Short Outings

In pleasant weather the children may be taken off site by the nursery nurses to enjoy the local amenities such as feeding the ducks, short walks to the park, pushchair walks and trips to the shops and town.
